How long have you lived in Bookham? We have lived in Bookham since 2006, having moved here from Guildford Why did you volunteer for the Bookham Vision project? I wanted to get involved with local activities and projects. The Bookham Village Plan seemed an ideal way to use my skills to contribute to the future of the place we have grown to love, and where my children (aged 11 and 8) will grow up. What skills/experience do you bring to the Bookham Vision team? My career in the law means I am well used to digesting large amounts of information - something I have been grateful for since work started on this project. Since I stopped working (for money), running a busy household has honed my organisational and delegation skills. I have also worked as a Community Mediator, Chair of a PTA and am now a School Governor and so like to think I can get on well and work effectively with my fellow Committee Members. Are you involved in any other Bookham related activities (voluntary, clubs etc)? No - apart from supporting our local shops and library and attending shows at the Barn Hall. I help at Brownies once in a while. What are your interests/hobbies? I love exploring the almost limitless countryside in and around Bookham with my two Labradoodles, and husband and children when possible. I am a keen cook, and always try to have a book or two on the go (I am a prolific borrower from our great Library!). Organising the children inevitably takes up a lot of my "spare" time, but I do try to find a slot to watch my favourite TV programmes - Boston Legal and Grey's Anatomy.
