Why do we need a Village Plan

With a plan we will have a bigger influence on, and access to funds to implement, the things we want done.

The Government wants local communities to have real influence over what happens locally. Parish, District and County Councils are supporting the concept.

Nationally some 4,000 such plans have already been produced - 39 in Surrey.

Other communities’ plans have gained support and funding for various projects.

Our Objective: To produce a viable plan/aspiration for 10 or so years ahead

How do we do it? - Find out and record who we are, what we have, what we do.

Discover what the community thinks is GOOD and what is BAD.

Discover what the community WANTS for the future.

Analyse what could be possible. Communicate this to the community.

Solicit support from the community and stakeholders.
