1.        30% of Bookham’s adult residents are educated to degree level or higher

2.       Bookham is home to 7 sheltered housing schemes, accommodating around 250 people

3.       Our 2 GP surgeries serve a total of 17,500 patients – over 6000 more than the population of Bookham itself

4.       Bookham is served by a Neighbourhood Police team of a PC and 3 PCSO’s, who hold regular public meetings to listen to residents’ concerns

5.       Turnout in elections tends to be higher in Bookham than in the region generally

6.       Over 100 groups and societies are affiliated to the Bookham Community Association

7.       Rainbow Trust has a house in Bookham offering respite care to families with children with a life limiting or terminal illness

8.       Bookham’ s Help Your Neighbour scheme made 1500 journeys last year, helping our less mobile residents get to important Hospital and other similar appointments

9.       Our Churches run a wide range of activities – from toddler groups and Keep fit, to debt counselling and marriage enrichment courses.
